Well, Clay only bit Elena because it was the only way he could keep her and not disobey Jeremy's orders. If you remember in either Tales of the Otherworld or Men of the Otherworld, Clay was going to try and make it work with Elena staying human. But the other stuff is spot on!

It's been a really long time since I've read the books and I didn't make it to Tales or Men. I started getting bored when they kept bringing in new narrators; the only ones I really cared about were the werewolves, the witches, and the ghost speaker Jeremy hooked up with.

But thanks for the clarification! I'm actually really surprised to hear he was going to try and make it work with her as a human. I always figured he had planned from the beginning to bite her once he could get her home with the Pack. Hmm, maybe I should try reading again, just for the characters I care about.

Totally! Clay bit Elena because Jeremy said a human could not be part of the pack, and women are always human. That's why he bit he, so Jeremy couldn't turn her away. It had me conflicted, since it was a huge issue to do, given Elena grew up with people forcing things onto her. (Rape victim)
