When I was little I was fascinated by orphan movies for some reason, because I always wondered how these kids found the courage to live without parents until/if they get adopted. I'm close to my parents and I think the death of loved ones is a fear everyone has, so you're not alone, OP.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 01:02 am (UTC)(link)I don't really have any real response except that. It's a bummer. Mothers dying are a bummer.

It really bothers me when a little sister gets fridged; I get kind of angry at the writer. It's like, do you have any idea what you're actually doing to your character? You're not setting up a tragic backstory, you're destroying her/his life.

I get you OP, I really do. I'm closer to my mum than I am to any other person in the world, and I know I'll fall completely apart without her. I do know one other thing for certain though, and that is that my mum would want me to pick myself up and go on to live the best life I can make for myself. Listen to me now, because this is important: your mum does not want you to kill yourself if she dies before you! She loves you, and she wants you to live on without her. Trust me on this one, OP. It will be the hardest thing you ever do, but living without your mum will also be the greatest gift you can ever give her.
If you feel like this is impossible, think about the people around you. Would there be someone you could lean on if something happened to her? Is there someone you can talk to about this? If not, you may want to think about a help line or something similar, because those are some really strong emotions you have there. I do understand you though, completely. ALL THE HUGS IN THE WORLD!
