Yeah, I was under the impression Loki was the bicycle. Not just in the MCU fandom, but in all fandoms, really. XD

I too though Tony was the fandom bicycle while Loki was merely prevalent

I think Tony has been in more fics, but Loki has been paired with waayyyyy more people.

Trying to think who I've seen them both with. Staying strictly within he MCU, I've seen Tony paired with Steve, Bruce, Pepper, Rhodey, Loki, JARVIS and occasional outliers like Natasha, Phil and Clint. Loki I've seen with Thor, Sif, Darcy, Clint, Tony, Natasha and on occasion Jane, Steve and Phil. If we go further afield, I've seen several random crossover pairings for both of them (mostly X-men, where Tony usually gets Charles or Erik, and Loki often gets Mystique).

I think ... possibly they're about even? From what I've seen, at least. Maybe it depends on which part of the fandom you're in.

Loki with Bucky. Loki with Banner. A couple with Fury. And those are just what I remember.

I've seen Tony with Bucky too, though (nice series by alchemy_alice on AO3). I don't think I've seen Tony/Fury, but that wouldn't be something I'd go looking for. I have seen Nick/Howard, though. And Nick/Howard/Peggy, and sometimes I just feel really sorry for Steve. Random, sorry.

I think basically that if it's male, I've seen both Loki and Tony paired with it, if it's female there's good odds on one of them, if it's artificial/mechanical I've seen Tony paired with it, if it's magical I've seen Loki paired with it, if it's evil I've definitely seen both of them paired with it, and if it's one-eyed and involves either of their daddy issues I deliberately didn't go looking for it ;)

They're kind of the sluts of the MCU, I think. Possibly why I love Tony/Loki so much as a pairing itself.
