This isn't even true. I'm pretty sure Loki has the most pairings? I mean, it's okay to like Darcy but it's obvious this group of people is just trying to convince themselves she's popular, like when hardcore fans of a character start exaggerating shit on a character's tvtropes page to make them seem like they're bigger in fandom than they actually are. *cough* Bolin *cough*

No, you're not. Darcy is my favorite female character in the Marvel movieverse.

Really? Every time I hear about her, it's someone complaining about her.

I think she's really fun though.

The first Thor movie was one of the first movies we saw together in person, and we thought Darcy going "mewmew?" in mispronouncing "Mjolnir" was funny. To this day if we mishear something the other says we'll go "mewmew?" instead of "sorry I didn't catch that, mind repeating it?"

I just watched Thor not too long ago, and while I loved Darcy in the first movie, I was sure they were going to capitalize on her success as a character and make her obnoxious in this one. But I was (mostly) wrong! She wasn't overbearing, she was just pretty normal. Honestly, I like seeing her interact with Asgardians because she's so...not like them or really anyone else in the series and how they react to these characters (one of the reasons I liked the little boy in Iron Man 3 was because of how different he was).

And she is my little black dress of MCU.

I NoTP, so I generally can buy everybody with everybody. I'm an equal opportunity pair lover in pretty much all the media I consume. But I have a hard time suspending my disbelief in order to read Loki/Toni, Loki/Steve, Loki/Natasha, Loki/Bruce, and so on and so forth. Doesn't mean it can't happen. It's just those fics have got to be amaze-balls awesome-sauce spine-tinglingly glorious for me to believe it. Because Darcy gets enough screen time to have a an established voice but not so much that all the facets of her character are pinned down, she is for me a character who I more readily believe in a wide variety of pairings.
