Certain sewer scene?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
The kids have sex in the book.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
Ew.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
... as kids? All of them, or... ? Aren't there like five boys and a girl?

This is baffling me. Pls explain?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Wikipedia:

"The Losers then gradually realize that they are lost in the sewers, and that with their common enemy having fled they have lost their purpose as a group, and begin to succumb to panic. In order to stop the group from panicking, Beverly has sexual intercourse with each of the boys."

Stephen King is so fucked up.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
THAT WOULD HAVE JUST MADE ME PANIC MORE

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
o_O

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
ayrt

well, that's... considerably more horrifying than the actual monster.

Jesus fucking Christ, dude.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
How the hell old were they?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
ELEVEN

Fucking eleven years old, one girl and her six best friends, a lovely little pre-teen train in the sewers of Derry. Oh and get this, of COURSE Beverly suggests it. Absofuckinglutely REVOLTING and horrific. Fuck Stephen King. This explains his shitty fucking snotty tweet about Dylan Farrow and her accusations about Woody Allen, clearly SK doesn't think kids having sex, willing or not (HINT ASSHOLE if they're 11 even if they think they're willing it's still horrific and abusive and disgusting) is that big a deal. He is such a creepy ass misogynistic piece of shit.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
You know, people can write things they don't personally approve of.

Like murderous clown monsters, and sociopaths shutting puppies in freezers. And the Dylan Farrow tweet was taken way way way out of context.

But yeah, fuck Stephen King. Did you know he's not only a pedophile, but an axe murderer, a haunted car and every single child of the corn.

He's also a straight white CIS male. Fuck his privileged breeder ass.

Just to clarify, because I'm not sure what you mean and I don't want to misunderstand you, when two 11-year-olds have sex, which one is being abusive?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Did you miss the apology?

Around 12 or 13.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
They have sex with each other to form a deeper bond, so they can defeat Pennywise as a unified force. She doesn't have sex with them to calm them down- most of the boys are too young to derive much pleasure from the act.

It's still a fucked up scene, but there was a point beyond 'Let's all calm down and screw'. Did everyone miss that?

No I got it. Sex to defeat the spider.

I hated that ending. bad bad ending.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
...I'm not sure that actually makes any more sense.

I'm with you on that...

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
It would in fanfic!

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
...what?

(Anonymous) 2014-02-16 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
WHAT.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 07:00 am (UTC)(link)
Ugk. And this is why I don't read Stephen King's shitty work anymore. That man is seriously twisted and needs to seek some kind of help.

(Anonymous) 2014-02-15 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Why should he when it's made him rich?
