Does anyone else have a "thing" for certain kinds of clothing, even if they aren't necessarily meant to be sexy? If so, what?

The waistcoat is without a doubt the most beautiful and sexy item of clothing to ever be invented in the history of the world.

I can't think of anything that's not supposed to be sexy. Corsets and stockings are the big ones for me. Oh and suits, especially on women. And maybe at this point I should mention that the other stuff is only for women too. Sorry guys.

I like bifauxnens. Military bifauxnens to be specific.

Jeans, but I'm pretty sure those are intended to be sexy.

Shorts on men, assuming they are actual shorts and not those knee-length baggie things that really are not shorts.

Boots on men, particularly if they have a heel of some sort. Men in women-style boots are really hot.

Button-downs on women. Not sure why, but I think they look really hot on women. Men look good in them too, but not in a "thing" sort of way.

Georgian era fashion always appealed to me. Victorian dresses as well (though it depends on the decade. Their fashions changed so fast and I don't like all of them).

Also, 17th century French men's fashion. Musketeer uniforms of that era too. I blame French musicals for that.

When it comes to men (and cross-dressing women), I'm fairly desperately attached to 17th/18th century fashions. Basically, anything that makes people look like they could be a Highwayman/Pirate/Austen Character/Vampire/Musketeer/Vengeful Aristocrat/Naval Officer/etc.

Well. Minus the wigs. Never liked the wigs. Though white hair is very nice, if it looks natural.

Suspenders. Cuffs of any kind. Watches can be hella sexy. Ties. Kilts. White button up dress shirts. Well fitted suits. Vests.

Viking outfits. I'm not...certain if all of them are supposed to be sexy or not. But I dig them. And kilts, which I'm pretty sure were not originally meant to be sexy.

I have some odd ones.

I like light blue clothing on people with blond hair (male or female). Maybe the colors just complement each other really well?

Necklaces with little hearts.

Feminine clothing on guys, when it's not tacky. Trying to find this on Google, pinterest, or wherever brings up a bunch of guys wearing dresses that are too short, made of cheap shiny fabric, and generally not nice looking. I guess most of those are the kind deliberately meant as fetish clothing, and not really meant to be attractive (though I guess it is to some people).

Plants and flowers used as hair decorations (or just as decorations in general). You can find a lot of this on Tumblr and pinterest, usually on girls but I wish guys did it more often..

Also the 18th century fashion thing.

I like suits generally but throw a waistcoat in there and I'll be mesmerised, also while they are meant to be sexy I love a nice pair of stockings with a garter belt.

Well I can safely say over-the-knee stockings are intended to be sexy, but the fact remains.

Boots. Not even necessarily fetish-wear boots, but military-style boots. Durable and down-to-business.

Sensible sneakers, slightly worn out and a bit tattered.

Women in tuxedos/men's suits in general, thigh-high fishnet stockings with garter belts, tall leather boots, corsets, military uniforms and Starfleet uniforms (any generation).

Nice, neat blue jeans on a girl.

OMG yes. Suits which are tailored to be slim-wasted; knee high socks (on men); and a good tie will make me equal parts of "I want to fuck you" and "Damn, I want to wear that".

Also have a thing for heels in shiny leather; they make me feel instantly sexy and they instantly remind me of sex so much so that a good friend once (very sweetly!) told me that she'd support me if I ever wanted to come out of the closet based on how often I'd check out women's legs. Should've seen her face when I explained, thanks, that's lovely, but I'm not bisexual, I just have a ... serious thing for awesome shoes.

Leather biker gear with full helmet and boots. I blame Daft Punk.
