If you have the time and money, you could look around online for a T-shirt or hoodie with the logo of a fictional organization from something you like. There are also shirts that mimic things like Star Trek uniforms or have superhero logos. If any of your fave characters dress in business suits and you have a similar suit, that could be a way to go. When The X-Files was big, I used to see a lot of people at cons in suits with fake FBI badges. Sometimes all you need to suggest a character is a certain prop or accessory or color combination.
