I think the most interesting thing about Loki's appearance is that he's a shape-shifter, so at any given time, he genuinely looks like he wants to look. I feel like the Jotun form is pretty out of character to depict him in if he's in it voluntarily, because even when he's at his angriest at Odin/Thor/Asgard, he's still looking like an Asgardian. Hell, when he does the fake double cross thing in Thor 2 and is all "I'm Loki, of Jotunheim!", he still doesn't use the Jotun form. So IDK, Jotun!Loki always looks so weird to me.

And even when he was presenting the 'real', prisoner version of him, his form was Asgardian. I think that's very telling.
