I'm not a fan of the intersex thing either, but usually people are good with their tags so I don't really encounter it on purpose.

In addition to your secret, I have a massive problem with him revealing his Jotunn form in general in MCU fic. It's usually done as a plot point to show whoever he's paired with is accepting of his "monstrous" form but tbh I can't even see Loki himself accepting it easily so even though I've seen some very well written acceptance scenes, I still struggle to believe it. I know this is definitely a YMMV thing.

OOh yes, this. Whenever a fic like that pops up all I can think of is "I can only suspend my disbelief for so long, stop trying to push me by having Loki accidentally slip into his Jotunn form because of ~reasons~ and having the scene end with a little crying and a few reassuring hugs!"

Glad it's not just me with this issue! I understand it's quite dramatic and can provide a moment of sweet angst but I just can't get over my reluctance to believe it. Also I'm not sure if he can control the shift in his form that well anyway because in film canon it seems to me that he's always needed the Casket of Ancient Winters to show his Jotunn form? And even then it was presented as a side effect of using it rather than a conscious thing.

I have a similar hang up, I've read one or two fics that actually handles it in a way that I liked and felt was believable, one even didn't have Loki be suddenly okay with his jotun form just because the other person was accepting of it.
