I would definitely rec Young Avengers. The earlier runs were very good about reasonable costumes for the female characters, and the female characters had some great stories of their own. The latest run, especially - by the end of it, literally the entire team is at least a little bit not-straight. Even Kate Bishop/Hawkeye - rather than being a 'female counterpart of a male hero', she inherited the name of a full-on and at-the-time-dead superhero for her own use/right at the time because she was just that good. When said dead superhero came back to life, he actually was the one to switch over to another codename for a bit because she was using it, and even in the current Hawkeye series, they are either both referred to as Hawkeye or he's referred to as 'Hawkguy'.

And going on the latest Hawkeye series (v.4) - while they don't ignore the potential for sexual tension, ultimately Clint and Kate have a very brother-sister relationship, and Kate isn't really Clint's sidekick so much as back-up and partner. Right now, the series is really good about focusing on Kate almost entirely on her own. She's never sexualized and dresses very well, and her story never slips into stereotypical or condescending (though the comic as a whole has a rather esoteric/indie bent to it).

As for the new Ms. Marvel (the one with Kamala) - it just started, but it's already doing really well and I have some high hopes for it, so I'd definitely rec it.

I've been curious about the new Ms. Marvel. Glad to hear it's going well so far.

I definitely have to start Young Avengers at some point. You're not the first one who has made a good case for it.
