While I don't mind How Soon Is Now (I can never hate on a song with the lyric 'So you go to the bar on your own/ ANd you leave on your own/ And you go home/ You cry and you want to die', lol), I definitely think there are better songs to start with. Definitely seconding This Charming Man, There is a Light That Never Goes Out and Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before, but my other faves are Ask, Sheila Take A Bow, Panic, Girlfriend In A Coma, Cemetery Gates (so much love for this song), Bigmouth Strikes Again (so good!), The Boy With the Thorn in His Side, Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now, Hand in Glove... I could go on. I'd recommend putting a greatest hits playlist on in the background while you're doing something else and see whether any appeal to you.
