I also couldn't get my head around German grammar though I really wanted to learn. I think there might be something about it.

It's just so weird to me.

Like, in English you'd say "throw a bale of hay over the fence to the horse".

But in German you say "throw the horse over the fence a bale of hay".

Like, there's a different order to things, and you have to remember which words on are nouns and verbs and adverbs, and I already have enough problems with that in English!
