THEY'RE SUCH LOVE.
I ship them in such a not-physical way. Their little chats at the end of the episodes always give me such fuzzies.

AND OH MY GOD DID YOU SEE THIS WEEK'S EPISODE OH MY GOD.

36. FUCK YES AT THIS SECRET.

Re: 19.)

[identity profile] cftf.livejournal.com 2007-11-09 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
Well... what do you mean by "canon"? I mean, if you go by what's actually canon and in the game, the romances you have are:

Phoenix/Dahlia (in the past)
Gumshoe -> Maggey (which she might return)
Diego/Mia
Ron/Desiree

And obviously people ship a whole lot more than that. Nick/Edgey, Phoenix/Maya, Franziska/Adrian, etc... none of those are canon. But they're still hugely shipped (even if personally Phoenix/Maya kinda squicks me out :/)

Personally, though I do like to have a possible BASIS in canon, sometimes it's just I think that two people would work really well together. (For example, I think Franziska/Maya would possibly be one of the cutest things -ever- and they, uh, don't even interact much at all.) I'll be honest, I can't see Edgey/Maya (Maya in a serious romance with ANYBODY is sort of "do not want" personally, which is why my take on the aforementioned Fran/Maya is almost closer to a good friendship/very lighthearted as opposed to anything else) but sure, you're totally welcome to ship it~

But yeah, I got a bit sidetracked >_> I don't think everyone just follows "canon", not at all.

32. Wow you just described like, the majority of teenaged girls right there. And the last time I checked, Ariel was a teenaged mer... girl. I wonder how that works out.

[identity profile] luzerna.livejournal.com 2007-11-09 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
9. That's not really a secret... I mean, if you want to be published, you want to cater to your fans while telling a good story in the process, right? People show their love for a book when they write fanfiction [most of the time].

24. Lol! I loved that episode.

27. West is a creep. Dx

32. Agreed!

35. I don't know, but when I join (or think about joining as most cases are) I really don't care about how original/strange/good the plot actually is. As long as the concept sounds fun it doesn't matter.

36. Actually, I do think that those aliens are cute... but in the way that most people consider puppies and kittens cute, don't get me wrong. x[

22. See, I think people tend to equate "I wanna be like this fictional character" with "I dress and talk and move like them and essentially pretend to/want to be them". I equate it with "I admire their personality and a certain quality they have about them, and I want to be as helpful/smart/brave/witty/athletic as they are".

32. ...it's a Disney flick. Besides, I think Ariel learned from her stupid choices in the end, right? (Correct me if I'm wrong, it's been decades since I last saw the movie)

This is my non-secret: I prefer the happily-ever-after-fairytale ending in the Disney version to the deep tragic ending of the original. :P

You can watch the first few episodes of the old cartoon here: http://youtube.com/profile_videos?user=JayZe81&p=r

I can't stand it when no one cares about the robots, too! D: I totally love Shia Lebeouf in that movie, but he is not the freaking best part of it.

1.FUCK YEAH SNOWBOARDING.

And I'm not trying to be mean but most of today's secrets made me squint a lot (whether it be due to small font, tl;dr or confusing font). D:

8. I never cried either. I was too busy paying attention to Jo's characterization. Me, obsessed with the writers from a young age.

19. The world needs more omnishippers. Sure, I like Phoenix/Edgeworth as much as the next guy, but PW3 has me craving Gumshoe/Phoenix, among others. If the writer can make me believe it, I'll read it!

24 ME TOO
32 I never really thought of her as a brat, just a young, rebellious girl who makes bad choices. Yes, she disobeys daddy, but she was right, wasn't she?

20. You mean because he overacts? Yea, he's kinda awesome like that.

I must echo this sentiment.

[identity profile] raven-goth.livejournal.com 2007-11-09 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
25) they're Even though Majora's Mask wasn't my favorite Zelda game I still loved their characters.
And I never saw them as punks, just misunderstood

29) xDD Oh god, I remember that video. The face he gave that kid made me laugh so hard (and I kind of wanted to smack that kid too)

32) I also find her personality annoying. There are sooooo many better Disney Princesses that the kids could want to be like other then her.

5 - OMFG someone actually enjoyed that book? O__o; IMHO it was one of the most horrid and dull stories I've ever read, but to each his/her own I guess. ;P

[identity profile] haro.livejournal.com 2007-11-09 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
18- I love it too! I think it's so quirky and fun and because of that I'm worried it won't last. For some reason it just seems like something the general public won't stick with, and that makes me so sad.

27- Well 90% of the Heroes fandom hates West Getting in the way of Paire doesn't help his case, so this doesn't seem like much of a secret to me. You're definitely in the majority. I like him and he amuses me, even if he's a bit lolstalker-ish. Although I don't think his relationship with Claire will last beyond this season (he'd have to become a major character I think), I hope sincerely that they do not kill him off.

32- I've always thought Ariel acted like a pretty standard sixteen year old with overprotective parents. She was definitely a Disney princess that "acted her age." That being said, I think when people say they want to be her or whatever they're not referring to her personality perse but her story. The one thing I had trouble with when I was little was Ariel's desire to live on land. As I was a marine buff I just went "why would you leave that omg?" But then again who can't empathize with wanting exactly what you can't have? Almost every Disney princess and Disney hero does. Most of them even have a song about it. ;)

Even though I've always loved her, the Princess whose attitude I always had a bit of trouble with growing up was Jasmine's.

Ahaha, whenever a bad app comes by we basically just go OTL and start going on about what could have made it better. \(o_O)/ But obviously that's horrible and cruel and the mods should get the B&--
