You don't know what you're missing, tampons are way more comfortable than pads. I never realized how much of an annoyance pads were until I switched over.

I only used tampons once, when I didn't want to miss swimming because of my period. NEVER AGAIN. They hurt to put in, they hurt to take out, and the whole time between, there was this annoying dull ache down there.

Now I can use the Diva cup for things like swimming, or if I'm going to be out for a long time and don't want to deal with pads getting messy, or with having to change them and carry extras. It does still hurt to put in though, but not while it's in. I'm not sure why tampons caused me so much misery, but I'm not trying them again.
