I'd have to stick around for a few episodes to see what the direction of the show is going in before rage quitting. It could have an interesting shift, whether it's in Scott's grief, challenging the idea that even a regular human can take on the worst and of the supernatural, the ripple effect in those you may not expect, and even in the tone.

Or it could also take the ham-hand highway of grim darkery, and turn Scott into Derek's Man Pain Jr.

I'm also too invested in the core cast, parents included, that I'm going to be annoyed if their deaths are handled as awfully as the supporting cast (deputies, Erica, Boyd, etc.). As it is, I will also be immensely put off if yet another evil dude is given a slap on the wrist while their lady variants get shelved (Kate, Mama Argent, and even the Darach).
