Scott, Stiles, Melissa McCall, or Sheriff Stilinksi - if any of those characters died I would stop watching the show. Anyone else is fair game (and I'm secretly hoping for some of them to go).

I think everyone has a character like that.

Me too. I like other characters too but Stiles is my favourite and I think Dylan's an amazing actor, maybe the best one. The show would lose its MVP.

I would miss Stiles a lot of he goes, don't get me wrong, but my sadness over his loss would at least be tempered by the fact that I'm pretty sure Dylan O'Brien is inundated with work right now, and might, y'know, want to pursue that. (I have a feeling that Stiles might actually die this season, but not be gone. Gotta feeling we're gonna get Ghost Stiles next season.)

...Allison, though? I have a terrible feeling about Allison's fate this season, and if they kill her off I don't know that I'll continue watching. I'm very attached to her.

This is my favorite show right now and there are several characters that I'd be a combination of sad/pissed if they were killed. Killing Stiles would get me to stop watching.

It's old by now, but there are spoilers for The Sarah Connor Chronicles within this comment, so if you're worried about being spoiled for that, this would be the big giant bit of texty buffer space you might want in order to realize you need to stop reading before you get to the spoiling part.

I can't imagine watching an entire show for just one character, to the point that, if they died I would have absolutely no reason to not just turn off the TV and never turn that show back on again. And sure, maybe being sans Stiles would ultimately affect the show in ways that would eventually make me realize I wasn't really enjoying it without him, but to not even try? I don't get that.

Of course, I remember when Derek died on TSCC, and the legions that swore they would never ever watch another episode...and he was back at the end of the finale (in a different context) because, hi, it was a time travel show. Hi, this is a supernatural show where the dead and gone don't always stay that way. Granted, TSCC didn't get a third season to explore Future!Derek, but still.

I don't even watch Teen Wolf and I would be sad if he died, I enjoy seeing Stiles gif sets come up on my dash every so often.

While I love many of the other characters, I would probably stop too. It would change the entire feel of the show for me. Luckily, I don't have to worry about that, because I am not at all worried for him. I'd bet dollars to donuts they'd kill off Scott before they'd kill Stiles.

I'm just going to be completely honest and say I don't know what I'd do if Stiles died (that would be the largest punch in the gut possible, imo), but I don't think that will ever happen because he's too beloved. If Stiles ever ends up leaving the show I think it'll be because Dylan wants to leave to do other things, not because the writers want to kill Stiles or are tired of writing him; they seem to adore him just as much as the fanbase and I can easily see him still standing when the series ends.

He's safe for next season apparently (don't ask me for links, but I'm 100% sure he isn't dying) but if he were to...yea, I would probably have a difficult time continuing because Stiles is a massive part of Teen Wolf and the show wouldn't be the same without him. He is, admittedly, one of the largest reasons I got through the first season and kept watching; I almost ditched the show after the first episode (lol, I know how sad this is) and Stiles was what brought me back and made me give TW a second shot. The other characters grew on me as well (some VERY much so), so I'm definitely not enjoying only his scenes, but I can't say with certainty that I wouldn't drop it if he left because I would be heartbroken as well and all reminders of him would make me bitter and sad, lol.

Plus, Scott would never be the same again. I feel like Scott and Stiles are a package deal and that they just don't work as well without the other; they make each other better.

The heart of the show, to me, is Stiles and Scott's relationship. If Stiles died, the show wouldn't be the same as Scott wouldn't have his BFF anchor anymore. I love both and can't see one without the other.

If either of them die, I wouldn't watch anymore. It's always been there, but these past few episodes have really reinforced to me that Stiles and Scott's relationship is the foundation of the show.

I've already decided I'm not watching this show after this season because I'm tired of how quickly characters are written out/abruptly killed off. (Regardless of RL reasons).

I'll definitely be upset if Stiles goes, but if either Allison or Lydia die I'm going to pitch a fit.

I'm baffled by the idea that anyone seriously believes there's a chance they'll kill Stiles off. He might as well be the sole main character according to the fans, and Teen Wolf's creators pay attention to what the audience gives a shit about. Even if O'Brien quits, they'll just do to him what they did to Jackson, keep him alive off screen so he's available for return. They're never gonna shoot themselves in the ass by permanently deading the guy.

Although, them killing off Melissa, Sheriff Stilinski, Derek, Coach or Lydia would piss me off (Scott would too, just he's the main character and I really can't see that happening). And I like Kira, Allison, Isaac, Danny, Chris Argent, and Peter, but I wouldn't be as pissed. I'm not sure yet how I feel about Parrish or the Yukimuras. I'm never sure how I feel about Deaton. But I'm totally okay with the twins or Agent McCall getting taken out. Or, you know, if they wanted to bring Deucalion or Gerard into play so they could kill them off, that would be fine with me.

I'd have to stick around for a few episodes to see what the direction of the show is going in before rage quitting. It could have an interesting shift, whether it's in Scott's grief, challenging the idea that even a regular human can take on the worst and of the supernatural, the ripple effect in those you may not expect, and even in the tone.

Or it could also take the ham-hand highway of grim darkery, and turn Scott into Derek's Man Pain Jr.

I'm also too invested in the core cast, parents included, that I'm going to be annoyed if their deaths are handled as awfully as the supporting cast (deputies, Erica, Boyd, etc.). As it is, I will also be immensely put off if yet another evil dude is given a slap on the wrist while their lady variants get shelved (Kate, Mama Argent, and even the Darach).

I find it a little odd that The Annoying Human Sidekick is actually more popular than the protagonist, in this fandom.

Usually, TAHS are ignored or neglected by the fans.

I wonder why is it different here?

Stiles is the only one of the main five whose death WOULDN'T result in me quitting the show. I'm so bloody tired of his fans making everything all about him. Sadly for me, Jeff Davis's boner for DOB means he's the least likely to get killed off.

I like the show on its own & I do love Scott/Tyler Posey, but if they permanently kill off Stiles, I'd quickly lose interest. He's the main reason I enjoy the show so much - the character himself, & also Stiles' relationships with Scott, Lydia, & especially his Dad are what makes the show for me. Everything else is just extra.
