Re: Or, That moment when you realized "hey, this show is actually awful"

I know this will probably be unpopular, but Fringe. Everyone told me I'd love it, even though I am in no way a fan of J.J. Mad scientists! Sci-fi! Good acting and so on! But I hated it. The first season was okay, but there were plot-lines that just made no fucking sense, and it only got worse in the second season. Half the episodes were incredibly stupid. Stuff was going on with Walter and Peter that made no sense considering what came previously. Around the middle of season two I just lost all motivation to continue watching, and never went back.

+1 to Fringe and it kind of drives me nuts that I see people praising it all over the place. I'm all good with people having their own taste but the few times I tried to criticize it I got dogpiled by fans.

It's just not a good show in my opinion and even if you like it I don't see how someone could NOT see it's weaknesses.

I'm kind of resentful that it got what? Four? FIve? Seasons, while something thought provoking like Dollhouse got canned after two pathetically short two seasons.

My favorite parts of Fringe have been the second half of season 2 and the first half of season 3, with the first half of season 3 > second half of season 2. Everything else has been... entertaining? But mostly okay.
