(Anonymous) 2014-02-22 02:03 am (UTC)(link)I actually liked Zombieland. lol To be honest, I even consider(ed?) myself to be pretty fond of dark comedy, but I don't know. I guess I had trouble transferring emotions - if a death is portrayed as violent, horrible and sad, it's hard for me to start laughing again two minutes later. If the violence is portrayed as humorous, it's another thing.
I realize I'm in the minority of not liking Shaun of the Dead. I guess "horror comedy" is a fair genre, but when I was watching it, I couldn't figure out what it was trying to do, because it seemed like two opposites trying to collide.
