And totally agree on John Sheppard. I really don't like him. He's the sort of wise-cracking, rule-breaking, casual character type that Jack O'Neill was but in all the wrong ways and without any of Jack's charm. He's just so wrong so often and insubordinate and yet the show pulls itself in circles to make it so he was actually right.

I know the Stargate 'verse in general runs on miraculous last-minutes saves, but there were several episodes where by all rights the things they did should not have worked, and it rubbed me the wrong way that characters who pointed this out were dismissed.
