I'm a dog lover and I don't think you should walk your dog without a leash ESPECIALLY at night.

I can see hanging out in your front yard if your dog is reliable enough not to leave (my old dog couldn't run very far even if she wanted to), but walking into other peoples' spaces? Use a leash. It's both inconsiderate to people AND dangerous for the dog.

+2 if it's not a designated off-leash dog area it's very inconsiderate of others and unsafe for the dog. Don't feel bad anon :(
