I like to think she was going to sweep him across the room for a while. A lot of cats absolutely hate that, but it's not harmful.

(And also Lucifer was deliberately being a dick. I know that doesn't excuse animal abuse, if that's what she was aiming for, but really. He knew what he was doing.)

Yeah, it would be one thing if he didn't know what he was doing. But he totally did it on purpose to make her life harder, when her life was already hard enough.

It's hard to see it in the same light as real life animal abuse when animals clearly have way higher levels of consciousness and agency in certain works of fiction.

I think that's why this scene didn't bother me even though I'm usually pretty sensitive to animal abuse.
