I don't like huge TV shows (I won't watch anything longer than 40 episodes, period) and big franchises where different canons are closely related to one another.

Not because I'm expected to know everything about the canons (given that the original universe is to my liking, this isn't a problem), but because the canons melt together and mix in all sorts of weird ways, creating situations where a character can be both IC and self-contradictory. And I don't really want my canons mixing like that.

Eyein' u so hard, Star Wars. U r the worst.

This does create some problems. Everyone around is all about huge TV shows/giant franchises. I find that fandom is mostly concentrating on this sort of stuff, probably because giant never-ending things result in long-living, stable fanbases. Fandom is definitely not big on books (my primary interest) or movies. Siiigh.
