With the amount of weird shit I read/request at the library, I think if any of the librarians ever had the urge to comment, they long ago gave it up as a lost cause. I've been a member since I was seven, and my parents gave the library written permission to let me check out books from the adult section when I was twelve or so. I think at that point they basically just decided 'on her head be it, then' and none of them so much as bat an eye anymore. I've checked out everything from Russian history to trashy romance to gorey serial killers to baking to a manga I suspect they didn't realise was as soft-core porny as it was (being fair, I didn't realise this until afterwards either), and quite a few of those since my early teens.

If any of them originally gave a shit, I suspect they gave it up as a bad job long since.

I can just imagine my eclectic tastes, since I've always got stuff on hold. The librarians even know me by now when I come in, but they have never once ever said anything about what I request. We'll just make comments about the state of the books/CD/movie or how long I have to read something (Stephen King's The Stand, hello!) I love how they just smile at me and don't comment on anything.
