The point of libraries is to allow people free access to all sorts of media. So go enjoy it all.

Trust me, the people at the check-out don't care wtf you're checking out as long as you're not doing stuff to make their life more difficult. Which I think can be said about most jobs.

I'm more worried if about the student that's too stupid or lazy to search his books apropiately than the one who is literate enough to do their searches efficiently. In fact I'm happy for the people who likes to read, because they tend to be the ones who give me less trouble, period.
