I'm still not super clear on how we got to this point of the conversation, though? Because my claim was that Walt Disney didn't like cats, and thus movies made while he was alive tended to feature evil cats. While TL&TT is based on a short story (or a mix of a short story and some other things), that contained mean cats, that doesn't change the fact that Walt Disney chose to make that into a feature film, and there wasn't (as far as I can tell) any heroic cats in his movies until after his death.

On the evil side, we have Pete, Lucifer, the Siamese Cats, and Shere Khan. So heroic cats actually outnumber evil ones up through Walt's death.
I mean, cats make great cartoon villains because they eat mice and mice make great underdogs, but they haven't actually been depicted as consistently evil as you're claiming.
