Online job applications are a menace that must be stopped.

Especially those ones with the fuckin' stupid personality quiz questions that have little to no relevance to what you're applying for.

It's like "shit, I don't want to answer 50 pages of Cosmo quiz questions I just want to wash dishes so I can pay these fuckin' bills"

Yeah I've been applying for jobs, and it's mostly just crappy grunt-work. It's all I need, really. Yet every time I apply to do anything it's like a damn Cosmo quiz except it doesn't give you any answers, not even shitty pointless ones. All it does is spit out "thanks for answering those 50 questions that have nothing to do with whether you can do this job or not! We're never going to call you back, and don't call us, either! Thanks!"

Oooh, you know what's even better than that?

Multi-tiered interviews for really basic retail jobs! Like having to go through six rounds of group & individual interviews just to fold clothes and operate a register.

I'm so glad I have a bachelor degree that qualifies me for janitorial duties.

FUCK THOSE IN THE EAAAAAAAAAR

I had to do one for a restaurant around the corner recently, and they were batting me around for three goddamn weeks, and I was interviewing for a part-time dishwashing position. (then they decided, after batting me around for so long, they would FINALLY tell me that they're full up in the kitchen but they'll 'keep me in mind', which I can tell is probably bullshit)

Man, I spent a year doing it in a fine-dining restaurant full-time, why am I not qualified for doing it part-time in a shitty greasy spoon?
