I'm 2/3 through A Dance with Dragons and all the best characters are returning to the story. FINALLY.

I'm nearly done with A Feast For Crows and my mom whose letting me borrow warned me it was the worst book of the bunch but I'm surprised by how much trouble I'm having finishing the book. I flew through the other three books but this one I keep stalling. I've even took a break and read something different before returning. Is A Dance with Dragons better?

Hmm, I think that depends on who your favorite characters are. A good portion of my favorite characters were in AFfC and I really flew through their chapters. But then there's a bunch of chapters that really drag because I'm not into those characters. The first 1/2-2/3 of ADWD is more of the same. If you really love Dany and Tyrion and are missing them a lot in AFfC, you will probably enjoy it quite a bit. I'm less into them than some people are, so I'm mostly missing Arya, Jaime, etc. There are only 3 newly appearing POV characters (so far?) in ADWD as opposed to, um, 9 (!) in AFfC.

I cannot say how the rest of the book (with everybody together) will go because I am just starting to get AFfC characters back.
