I'm tired of my friends in the animation industry having such a hard on for Disney and Pixar when they should know the realities. I understand wanting those jobs because they pay decently and lead to other opportunities, but there is such massive sexism and prejudice and all sorts of shady things that go on behind the scenes at those companies.

I'm also tired of dealing with the toxic aspect of the art world in general, I'm prone to depression and I don't want to get so bitter about something I love.

ugh, anon, as a fellow artsy person (i'm a writer) i feel you on that one.

it's sad when you see something you love & care about be hijacked by awful people. it's also really sad to see the sexism & racism in the arts - which should be a place of free exchange of ideas and expression.
