Re: Silly questions

Exactly how unusual is it for a man to pee sitting down? Is it, like, on the level of "a little odd but not too remarkable", or is it more along the lines of "almost completely unheard of"? If you were in a public restroom, would you notice if another man seemed to be peeing sitting down in a stall and think it was weird, or would you not even pay attention?

Probably wouldn't notice, and if I did, I wouldn't care. I go in to do my thing and get out, not theorize on other people. And if I did hear someone peeing from a stall, I wouldn't be peeking underneath to see if they're sitting down or not.

I'm curious about this too because my father does so I never thought it was that weird.

I heard that's what they do in Germany.

Bear in mind that this is a result of second-hand observation (I'm a woman), but it's not that unusual. He might also have to poop, or he might have an erection and not want to spray the whole bathroom, or maybe he's just bad at aiming. There are reasons.

Would a toilet really fix the erection-spray thing?

Well, if the erection is pointed into the toilet bowl, and the guy's butt is covering the rest, any spray is going into the porcelain rather than all over the floors and wall.

Not too unusual. Especially if one has to move their bowels. At least, if men in my area are any indication there are plenty of guys who double up in the stalls when I'm using the public washrooms.

I don't think it's that unusual.

In a zone of particularly heightened gender enforcement, it'll get made fun of because LOL THAT'S LIKE A GIRL, but outside those, i.e. in most of adult life, nobody much cares. For one thing, in a men's room it is generally a serious breach of etiquette to notice or acknowledge anything another guy might be doing. If it's even allowed to register that a guy has gone into a stall and only peeing sounds are emerging, that information is promptly deleted lest it accidentally lead to paying attention to what someone else is doing in there.

(Incidentally, you ever wonder why men make jokes about women talking to each other in the ladies' room? It's because to us, that is absolutely bizarre and a little creepy. Much, much weirder than just peeing sitting down.)

If I was in a public restroom and someone was in a stall, I would assume that they were taking a shit, if I noticed at all.

It seems a little strange to me, I guess, but I really don't see how it could possibly be my business or matter to me, so w/e.

Your first sentence rhymes, and it made me laugh for like forty seconds.

the second line rhymes too if you take out the last couple words

"If I was in a public restroom and someone was in a stall
I would assume they were taking a shit, if I noticed at all.
It seems a little strange to me, I guess, but I really don't see
How it could possibly be my business or matter to me."
