Can we stop?

Labels are no always superfluous ways for a person, especially a young person, to feel fancy or speshul. They can be part of an identity and the process of "trying on" various labels is part of figuring out just what that identity is. Not to mention that once you do find it, you can usually find a group of people who are like you and host socializing events or just conversations or a place to vent which is a very valuable tool.

I appreciate this comment. Yes, some people can get annoying with all the super specific labels depending on their attitude, but the smug superiority of people who go "silly kids, we're all just human" is irritating. When something has a significant impact on my life, it's nice to have an easy way to talk about it.
