Thank you for reminding me that I need to read this. I've been meaning too.

But to answer your question: yes, they are just that short. This is why some people like to wait until TP's (trade paperbacks) are released and read several issues in one go. It can be a bit excruciating to read comic by comic because of the length, but a plus side is you don't have to worry about catching up.
