I haven't read it yet, but about comics being short: single issues are usually that amount of pages, yes. Some people prefer to wait for trades so that they have more to read in one sitting. Now, I didn't read that issue, but some comics feel a lot shorter than others because they're decompressed story-wise or have lots of pages with mostly only art. There are comics that I feel like I finished in two minutes and others feel really long, both in a good and bad way.
