The problem is tumblr doesn't reblog artist tags, so it's not always the artist's fault if something gets reblogged or reposted and all the tags are gone. Try looking at the sources more often, many artists DO tag their work.

As far as lack of skill or things not being recognizable, eh, give them time. Let them practice. If it bothers you, don't follow them.
