I think that all too often the whole business with assorted labels is that you don't fit into rigid gender roles when it's like, big deal, no one fits into rigid gender roles. Work on your hang ups and it won't matter so much that you don't "fit" the mold.

For me, it's as much a matter of pop science as pop culture--I don't feel like I have the traits that are supposedly a result of men's brain structure and hormones. Maybe I'm off chemically, or maybe all that's just as much bullshit as the "science" that used to say black people were different from white people. Either way, there isn't really any possibility for me to define as male in this society and with this framework for what men are.

I'm going to say that the focus on differences in brain structure and hormones between genders is a lot of bullshit. Because it means that an awful lot of people are aberrations.
