To rephrase, I like the sound of the music and it's very catchy but I don't like some of her lyrics.

I'd love to be that way, but unfortunately I'm not. If I learn something negative about a singer I tend to view all their songs with it in mind and it taints it somehow. It's particularly bad when I learn that a singer has been abusive toward their lover(s) and then went on to sing love songs like nothing happened; it makes me want to puke.

I don't think she did any of that (but I agree with you completely), it's just that some of her lyrics/messages hit a nerve and I can't move beyond that and enjoy other songs, even if they don't have those things.
