I've heard people say that she should go in a completely different direction and release an acoustic album or something of the sort, seeing as she can play the piano. Whether this would boost her career or not is up for debate. I don't know how she would make such a radical image shift but it'd be interesting if she could pull it off, I guess.

Bowie's fourth album was Hunky Dory, which has both "Changes" and "Life on Mars?", plus gems like "Queen Bitch", "Oh! You Pretty Things" and "The Bewlay Brothers". His fifth would be The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

From Gaga, we got... Artpop. If the jazz album with Tony Bennett becomes her Ziggy Stardust, I'll eat my keyboard.
