Or live a very secluded life if you've never encountered a conversation or way of thinking like this. Pretty commonplace for women to worry about their safety when men are being creepy. Not paranoid when culture says it's the women's job to stay safe and rape happens because of some mistake the woman made.

If that guy had been a rapist I can guarantee a lot of the response to the story would have been about why did she let him in? why didn't she listen to the signs? didn't she notice something creepy about him?

Boom, truth bombs. We can't win, we're either paranoid or unobservant. Either way we're at fault if something happens. And what really gets me pissed is that other women help perpetuate it.
