do women who aren't SJWs really think this?

honestly curious. I can half see where they're coming from if I squint just right, but it seems such a crazy paranoid way to live your life?

Think like what. I don't even know what part of that you're referring to.

It's a weird question because he has the money, I have the pizza and there's really nothing else needed to exchange here, but I'd probably just brush it off.

I don't really understand what you're asking.

Kids can pay for pizza, so even if your not offended, you should still mock him for his weak ass game.

I can't tell what part you're objecting to. My opinion after skimming is that calling a grown woman a little girl is condescending, even if she looks young. Though if I were in OP's shoes, I'd probably just look at the guy awkwardly and not say anything (which usually makes men feel awkward themselves).

My opinion is the same. If he said it in a creepy tone or something, I'd find it creepy, but as it's written it's just...no, don't call me a little girl when I'm clearly older than 9.

If someone called me a little girl, yeah I'd think that was pretty freaking weird!

Re: do women who aren't SJWs really think this?

(Anonymous) 2014-03-01 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Like everyone else, I'm not exactly sure which part you mean, but I would be annoyed and mildly creeped out if someone called me "little girl" and asked me where my parents were. Cause that's just weird.

OP here

(Anonymous) 2014-03-01 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
sorry

what I meant was the people talking about how he was just asking her that to see if she was home alone and he was clearly a creepy rapist, not just a dude with terrible game

Re: OP here

(Anonymous) 2014-03-01 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
If it happened to me I'd see it as someone being unintentionally creepy due to social skill failure, not actually creepy as in dangerous

I wouldn't automatically assume "oh noes must be rapist", but I *would* find it creepy and unprofessional (and condescending). I'd probably say "excuse me" or give him a look before signing the receipt and getting my pizza. And the pizza would be a priority, because pizza.

Ah, I see. I wouldn't automatically assume he was a rapist, but I'd be on my guard. But that probably has more to do with being raised in a city with a considerable crime rate more than anything else.

I would frown at him and probably not at all realize he was flirting with me. I would just assume he was making fun of me and being a dick.

So, since I have my pizza, I'd just close the door in his face.

I'm 24, so any dude who thought it would be appropriate to ask, "Little girl, are your parents home?" needs contacts. But using that as a pickup line gets a one way ticket to creeperville.

"Hold on, little girl, are your parents at home?"

That is fuckin creepy and I would shut and lock the door immediately. Creeeeeeeep.

Re: do women who aren't SJWs really think this?

(Anonymous) 2014-03-01 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
The only thing I'd be frightened of is not closing the door fast enough to prevent any other weird-ass lines from coming out of his mouth.

Re: do women who aren't SJWs really think this?

(Anonymous) 2014-03-02 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
I would close and lock the door, and call the pizza place and tell them I refused to accept their pizza nor will be doing any further business with them due to the unprofessionalism of their employees and tell them exactly why.

No, I would not care if I got the dude fired or not. Unprofessional is unprofessional. Not to mention creepy.

Wait, which women are SJWs? The ones in the original post or the sf-drama post? The post you linked to seems reasonable to me.

And yes, women do quite often have that fear going on. I wouldn't call it paranoia, because it's not paranoia if they really are creeps. I envy your life if you've never worried about that stuff.

You must be male

(Anonymous) 2014-03-02 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
Or live a very secluded life if you've never encountered a conversation or way of thinking like this. Pretty commonplace for women to worry about their safety when men are being creepy. Not paranoid when culture says it's the women's job to stay safe and rape happens because of some mistake the woman made.

If that guy had been a rapist I can guarantee a lot of the response to the story would have been about why did she let him in? why didn't she listen to the signs? didn't she notice something creepy about him?

That's a weird thing for a pizza guy to say but I think my kneejerk reaction would be to tell him my parents are dead (they're not, I'm just morbid).

I would probably sigh, roll my eyes and say "Yeah, yeah, just gimme my pizza," since I'm regularly mistaken for being a teenager all the time anyway. Honestly I wouldn't even think about the 'creepy rapist' angle unless I hadn't ordered a pizza in the first place and the guy just randomly showed up with one (then it's either rapist or spy agent trying to sneak inside my house, I've watched TV, I know how this works). Otherwise, if I ordered pizza and pizza shows up, I'd figure a guy making that sort of comment was just assuming I was a little kid or something. It would really depend on how the guy said it, if it sounded super creepy or leering or something. Otherwise, eh, who cares, here's money, exchange for pizza.

That sounded less like a creepy rapist and more like the world's worst PUA trying to "neg".

Yeah dude, she'll show you she's really a grown woman by giving you her number or inviting you in or something, not just slam the door in your face after she gets her pizza. Sure.
