Defective Detective, although I like subversions and aversions even more (ie, well-adjusted detectives like Foyle)

Knight in Sour Armor / Stepford Snarker

Badass old people

Sinister Minister

Rage Within The Machine / Underground Railroad plots

Least Favorite:
What's it called, something like Sorry You Don't Have Legs, Billy? Also ~Inspirational Disabilities~. My favorite use of this trope is The Cripple of Inishmaan because it's a huge deconstruction of SO MANY disability tropes. I fucking love Martin McDonagh.

Eye Scream. Nope. Nope nope nope, injury to eye is my #1 squick/fear.

Meyer Landsman from The Yiddish Policemen's Union. Also Lord Peter (when his PTSD comes up), Lynley and Havers both for sure (although Havers is my favorite), Sam Vimes from Discworld, Sgt. Hathway from Lewis (religious and sexuality issues? All the right buttons, omg.), Brenda from the Closer is a bit of a borderline case, but I'll count her too, sure.
