Re: all caps = yelling

It used to be common knowledge. In the early days of the internet, it was basic netiquette. You don't type in all caps unless you're yelling. Everyone knew it, except newbies who just stumbled onto the web-- and they would be promptly informed as soon as they erred. Then the internet exploded and more people flooded on faster than the older users could educate them, and eventually the newbies won and netiquette isn't a term that's used anymore.

I found it an irritating lesson back then, but now I miss netiquette. :(
