For me, it's the pre-hype that got built up around it. Some folks I knew were declaring/insinuating that this was to/could be 'the next big thing', but much like how I was for certain things (that shall remain nameless to avoid potential wank), I was left kinda cold. I can't describe how exactly, it was just a feeling of '... And?' Which is a shame, because I liked Cowboy Bebop, but comparing that and 'Space Dandy' is apples, oranges, et all.

I'm willing to give it a second shot, though. But not for a while yet.
