I forget which fandom he's glommed onto these days, but apparently he just posted an "anonymous ask" from some poor, confused, messed-up teenager who sounds surprisingly like himself, and who of course is being offered the utmost in sympathy and understanding from noble, compassionate TF.

Nobody who knows his history at all believes anything other than that he sent the supposed anon ask to himself. He's setting out the lure to catch more vulnerable young people and do this shit all over again, and it's pretty horrible to watch.

He's in Supernatural, is already trying to set up a convention, and seems to be setting himself up to start channeling Castiel imo. Tumblr is basically the lushest, most fertile hunting ground he could dream of too. I cannot imagine a way this ends well.

The crap he's been saying about his "~past~" while simultaneously transparently trolling for new victims has been so infuriating all I could do was warn my little sister and her followers off and wash my hands of the whole thing.

The absolutely bizarre thing is someone on fandom_wank or clairvoyantwank even guessed that after the fallout from the shit that went down in the Harry Potter fandom, he would probably try Supernatural or another fandom with a relatively large fanbase who might have some proportion of people disposed to his tendency to make sweeping, unsupported, self-aggrandizing statements about himself and his life.

I guess that saying about the leopard and the spots is probably true here.

It does, yeah. Honestly? Thanfiction's the one person that survives with just an ankle shot? I can see why turimel's suspicio-meter went into overdrive.

She's been badly hurt by Andy to the point of some probably counterproductive obsessiveness over tracking down every movement made by Andy, and it really doesn't help that she won't just accept Thanfiction's choice of personal pronouns. (I guess she thinks if she calls him "he" as he wants, she's handing him another victory.)

Yeah if I'm being honest based on Andy's history it is really hard not to look at that situation and not see how easy it is to interpret it as being pretty damn shady or at least the results of his manipulations backfiring and want to blame him for the whole situation. Intellectually I know I don't know what really happened and my perception of everything is third hand at best but instinctively I do think he at the very, very least exacerbated what went down.

The pronoun issue really bothers me but like you mention turimel was a victim of a compulsive liar and manipulator who has claimed so many different kind of identities to assert control and escape consequences. Which makes her seeming transphobia read more like an unfortunate but unintended side effect of a reaction to what she sees as another manipulative tactic on Andy's part. But, no, that's not helping her case and if anything lends credence to Andy's insistence that he is being unfairly persecuted and may even be giving him leverage in the tumblr community.

but idk for me it's hard to give a crap about turimel's not so stellar level of involvement and minor offenses when you have a legitimately harmful person trying to get emotionally and mentally disturbed teenagers call him for help.

Eh, for me the issue with her [aside from the fact her obsession over following Thanfiction's movements is getting a little creepy] is that people have point blank told her that it upset and hurt them that she was disrespecting a trans* person's pronouns, even if he is a shitty person, and her response was, basically, "I don't give a fuck".

If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't give a crap...but as it stands she's ignoring the fact she's hurting unrelated people for a very petty reason that [let's face it] doesn't effect Thanfiction at all and *that's* why I can't quite bring myself to not care.

Yeah, tumblr's unique combination of gullibility and stubbornness mean that he'll never have a shortage of people willing to either believe his line that he's changed or just disregard all the shit that he's done wholesale. At least the warning posts about him have gotten a little more attention lately, though.

(Though the FW post is kind of inaccurate in calling it a convention - it was a LARP. In the woods. He wanted people to give him like a hundred dollars apiece to hang out with him and his current crop of followers away from civilization.)

He's glommed onto Supernatural, unfortunately. He's become one of those really annoying tinhat Destiel shippers who posts bullshit meta (and I say this as a {sane} Destiel shipper)about the most minor things and, sadly, has a shit-ton of followers who just eat that shit up. Always makes me cringe whenever I see someone I follow reblog anything of his. It's annoying and I wish he'd go the fuck away and I've warned people away from him repeatedly.

The thing that always drove me nuts was how people lapped up his "Dumbledore's Army" fanfic like it was practically the received new canon for what happened at Hogwarts even though quite a lot of it is so over the top and renders Snape such a cardboard evil villain that it can't possibly fit with the general tone of the Rowling canon as a whole.

It gave me great wicked pleasure to see him get roundly slapped when he tried using fanficrants to whoop up validation for some self-aggrandizing thing he wanted to do, only for the mods to nail him for editing his post in a way that didn't leave clear the original, as well as for commenters to note, quite unfavorably, that he was attempting to peddle his fanfic through Lulu.com.
