Lol, logging IPs.

I mean, I'm a moron, but even I know how to use proxies. If you want to keep your IP secret, there's nothing easier than that. Logging IPs does fuck all to prevent trolling.

MTE about the ease of proxies. But it bugs some anons enough to want it off anyways (I don't mean this as a negative), so I think there is some truth to it curbing some of the trolling.

I'd rather logged-in users were included in the tracking though, simply because I'd rather have an idea of who's being duplicitous and stupid enough not to use a proxy. That's me being a petty couch dictator though.

Actually, if IPs are logged and one user is consistently harassing others and stuff, they could theoretically be reported to DW and possibly get a site-wide IP ban

They could use a proxy but it's a layer of annoyance probably not worth trolling on FS for

Or they could just change their IP. It takes less than 2 minutes.
