I'm pretty sure trying to shame people into liking what you like almost never works. But since so many people seem to complain about the same thing, particularly when it comes to female characters, instead of trying to force or shame people who clearly aren't interested into discussing/ squeeing over what you like why not band with people who want the same thing. It hardly requires that many people to start a discussion.
