Same! For me it's because I have zero visual memory, so my sense of orientation doesn't rely on that, but rather on automatically "knowing" which direction I'm facing or where I am in relation to any given point (idk how to explain how that works, it just... does. like, you could blinfold me and drop me somewhere and I'd still be able to immediately tell you where North is). When I'm playing a videogame though obviously I'm not actually there, so that doesn't work.
