First womyn, then womxn. I predict womwn will be next.

At least you can pronounce womyn. I'm trying to say "womxn" aloud and it's not going well.

"womwn" sounds like someone trying to make a lightsaber noise.

wwwooommm... wwwnnn.... wwwwooommm... kshh!

I will admit to a few entertaining moments reading that aloud. Thanks for the giggle!

I thought it looked vaguely Welsh.

Don't forget 'wimmin'. Gotta find a way to leave out that horrible, horrible 'men' part of the word.

(A lot of the neo-pagans we knew two decades ago did this, and it was in a lot of pagan books and things, too.)

I thought that was meant to be derogatory, like, when guys get all "lol dem wimminz."

Not in the pagan circles i was in. The way you're putting it is more of a 'red-neck-speak' thing, like 'Murica' or something.

I'm not pagan and I've never been in any circles with that. I've always seen it as derogatory cause I've only ever seen it spelled that way online from dudebros and neckbeards.

at least in ONE place its got a good connotation, but outside that, it's always been pretty negative. :/

"wimmin" always makes me think of Popeye.

I remember seeing "woman" in at least a couple different items from a college publication a decade ago as "womb-moon".

I kinda wished they didn't hyphenate it. A "womb moon" could probably be written into some subset of (Gothic?) horror story, and a "wombmoon" is distantly related to the digeridoo.

As it is it sounds like a colloquial name for a non-severe infection. "Yeah, I can't come into the office today. I've got womb-moon."

If we keep this up, women/womyn/womxn will morph into wyvern, and I would totally be up for that.

None of these is as bad as "womban." (I saw that in a book once.) I couldn't stop reading it as "wombat."
