Ugh, I decided once that I was never going to get into Homestuck and, reading these comments, I can't remember why.

I'm most weirded out by the 8s.

That's because she a pir8.

Short explanation: All trolls have a typing quirk (one fanon theory is that basically troll brains tend naturally towards a memetic form of OCD) that also, somehow, can be heard in their actual speech as well, even when it'd make no sense whatsoever (All caps is one thing, but how could you actually hear leetspeak? Trolls and anybody else who hears then can make it out though)

I totally "hear" the leetspeak in my head when I read, but I can't pronounce it outloud. It's not like "T3R3Z1" is Tuh-three-re-three-zee-one, it's just...subtly different than "Terezi". Shorter vowel sounds, I think. I am not an expert on sounds.

I kinda feel you. It reads like a word with a different accent, but it's really impossibly to actually say it differently.

Yes! (Aw man I've always loved that icon of yours.) That's why I thought it was hilarious in Namco High when she said "1S TH4T R34LLY WH4T YOU TH1NK 1 SOUND L1K3?" It's also why for a long time I hated all the voice acting for her, because nobody could do it right. I got used to it though.

Sort of. Being conciliatory there isn't any sex. But all three people are vital to the relationship. You can't have an auspistice with just two.

...actually, yes, you can. It's Homestuck. You can do anything. I ship JadeKat in all quadrants including Jade functioning as mediator to past-and-future Karkat. But that is still two separate manifestations of Karkat interacting with each other.
