what's one thing that is part of everyday life, or normal/everywhere in Brazil, but people who don't live there might not know about?

Oh this is a really hard question... It's easier to think of things that people think are true here but aren't than the opposite, as you're asking. Especially cause it's hard to think of things that are true for the entire country to begin with. But I guess we keep very late hours compared to most countries: most people have dinner around 9-11 pm and in many places going out involves actually staying out for most of the night. And kids here usually go to bed very late. When I hear of kinds going to bed at 8 or 10 I'm shocked xD

wow! certainly didn't know that. so what time do people usually go to school or work?

Very early. 8am is a usual work time, but bear in mind that in big cities that usually means getting up a lot earlier because of the commute, like 6am or even earlier. Really depends there. school time... My old school started at 7:50 am. 8am would be the latest for schools.
