I don't really have any questions. I just want to link you to this fun little song.

With love from CA,

Haha, thanks, I didn't know that song! (And glad to know we have so many things in common!)

And yeah, I'm so used to earthquakes it would be odd for me to live in some other place where they don't have them. ;D

Welcome. ;) {Yeah, our areas are pretty similar. Damn Chupacabras.}

I know, right? Have you ever seen a non-local freak out while they're in your area during a tiny earthquake? It's kinda funny.

Oh yeah! I admit it's quite hilarious to see someone totally freaking out with a 4.0 earthquake. Makes you wonder what would they do with a 7.0 one. XD

I know, right? I mean, I understand if it was in a place that doesn't have earthquakes because their buildings aren't built to code. But when you're where we are? Dude, chill. Go stand in a doorway. I'm gonna go see what's to eat in the fridge.

To be completely honest I miss most earthquakes. It's really hard for me to feel them. I generally have to have someone else tell me or figure it out because everything around me is shaking.

Same. I learn there had been an earthquake most of the times only because I follow the National Earthquake System on Twitter. Otherwise, I only feel the large ones.

But yeah, buildings are so resistant to them that people tend to take them very lightly around here, myself included. Sometimes I do worry that we might be a little too careless at times, tho: I've had to wake up students who were sleeping during big earthquakes because they don't think they are dangerous at all, which is not a very wise thing to do...

Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one who seems to be unable to feel them unless they're big.

Yeeaaaahhhh, something could fall on you or the quake could get worse. It's a fine line we need to walk between over-panicking and being carelessly stupid. It's hard to judge sometimes. At least we know what to do in case of an emergency. That's gotta count for something.
