Uhhh lefse, lutefisk, krumkake, wild rice... Minnesota area food? of course lots of that is actually Scandinavian, but like, lefse is a common holiday food here but other areas of the US aren't familiar with it. also apparently hotdish is a this area thing. and bars (the dessert)? or maybe no one else calls them bars...

Haha, no we don't call them bars. Well, we do, but they're not as ubiquitous, so we might have "lemon bars" but we wouldn't just say "bars" and cover a variety of different ones. That's one of the only regional differences I think I'm aware of.

Yeah, hot dish and dessert bars are apparently the big two generic things. I'm going to add walleye as a major form of fish as well, since I'm not sure I've ever seen that outside of the state.

I think I went to a Culvers in Iowa that had walleye once. It was good.

We have all of those things here. Especially wild rice.

You heard of Scandinavia, yes? Where that food is actually from? We didn't forget about it...

I don't think they were saying Scandinavia forgot about it, just that a lot of the rest of America doesn't know much about it.
